Meet Iris

This is Iris Gene Brown.

Iris is a 6 year old girl that's full of love, happiness & sunshine. She beams loverays and sprinkles them everywhere she goes.

Iris' parents, Toby & Semira have created Loverays so we can make a positive impact on mindset and action to help our special needs friends. This will also grow with Iris, to ensure she has happy future.

  • Global Developmental Delay
  • Autism Level 3 with Speech Impairment
  • ADHD Combination
  • Mild Liver Damage

Naturally we've already had the roughest times and it all comes with more challenges ahead.

Iris's Journey

 Iris was born at 34+4 on January 8th 2020.

This little 2.34kg girl was in a hurry to be earthside, absolutely nothing was going to stop her coming.

~

Initially Iris was doing well, she looked good and was breathing. Minutes after everything changed fast!

~

The blurry whirlwind ended with Iris getting airlifted from Horsham to Melbourne and taken to the Royal Women's.

~

Uncontrollable seizures and intubation was the devastating reality.

~

After five days, the medical teams from the Women's and Royal Children's Hospital rallied together to narrow it all down to Pyridoxine Dependant Epilepsy.

There was a few bad patches with breakthrough seizures.

~

We couldn't be happier with Iris currently being 19 months seizure free.
